Aloha!!! My name is Heidi. I attended ASMT, (Arizona School Of Massage Therapy.) I graduated with a high GPA and received my license in Massage Therapy in 2011. I have worked at a Chiropractic Office, at a Spa and at a Fitness Club. While I worked at the Chiropractic Office, I assisted the Doctor with his patients. I helped relieve the pain that was located in the patient’s muscles and helped improve the injuries of patients’ who had been in accidents. The modalities I worked with was Trigger Point Therapy, (the application of pressure to tender muscles in order to relieve pain and dysfunction to other body parts.) Myofascial Release, (a treatment that attempts to release tension in the fascia.) When I made the move to a Spa, of course, it was a different environment. I had clients who ranged from just wanting the luxury experience of being pampered, to women who received massages for their babies’ and themselves, to clients who were looking to get bodywork done.
After I decided to work in a Fitness Club it gave me the ability to grow. I partnered with Physical Trainers as we worked together to help the client reach their goals and to tackle their issues. Here, I performed a majority of bodywork. I in cooperated stretches into the massage along with Hydrotherapy, (the use of water; hot, cold, steam or ice to relieve discomfort and promote physical well- being.)
A little bit about myself… On my spare time I enjoy practicing Yoga and learning more and more each day about Chakra, (circular vortexes of energy lying across seven different points on the spinal column.) I am a strong believer in the benefits that yoga has to offer. I also believe in the energy that each individual carries in their body and keeping that energy balanced through meditation techniques.
The best part about my work is when I have clients who express how amazing they feel and claim their aches, pains and discomforts are subsiding. As well as their range of motion, posture and physical ability is improving. My goal is to help my clients’ reach their best physical well- being. I am excited and ready to work on future clients. Welcome to Hawaiian Experience Spa, I look forward to meeting you. Mahalo!!!
