Aloha, my name is LaRhonda. I’m a Midwestern girl through and through, I was born in Chicago, IL and bred in Minneapolis, MN. I LOVE and miss my home town, but like many, I grew tired of the long MN winters and wanted to try my hand at something different. So, here I am! Just a few facts about me, I’m newly married as of January 2017 to my best friend of 17 years. Next to massage, I have a passion for cooking and would love to attend culinary school to enhance my appreciation of culinary arts. I love travel. My dream vacation is to Japan and going back to the land down under.
I’ve done some of everything work wise you could possibly think of: from being a teacher’s assistant to the most precious infants and toddlers alive, to retail, housekeeping, automotive to insurance and everything in between. Next to the privilege of aiding in the growth of our future, massage has been the most rewarding and fulfilling of them all. I’ve been a licensed massage therapist since 2011 and I hope to further advance in this beautiful talent for many more years to come.
It was after visiting the Body Worlds Exhibition (which I recommend everyone see at some point) I became extremely interested in the bodies functionality. The human body is absolutely fascinating! One of my favorite aspects of massage school was that we had a cadaver lab to aid in our study of anatomy. It’s one thing to learn from text book, but another to actually palpate muscle and bone in your own hands. I just can’t say enough about my experience through Arizona School of Massage Therapy and the benefits bodywork as added to my life and my clients. I specialize in Swedish, Injury, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone and Reflexology. I have a lot of experience working alongside doctors and nurse practitioners in a clinical setting, which I very much enjoyed doing, but I love working in spa settings such as this.
