Aloha, my name is Roderick. I was born in Flagstaff Arizona and have lived in Arizona most of my life. I have also lived in Utah, Texas and Maryland. I am the father of six, three boys and three girls, and love being with them and my sweetheart every chance I get. Together we enjoy being outside, hiking, camping, riding bikes, jumping on the trampoline, playing board games and watching movies. A few things on my bucket list are taking my wife to Hawaii to go scuba diving, as well as owning my own plane (because I have my private pilot’s license) and traveling around the world to learn different types of massage from their native lands. I graduated from Arizona School of Massage Therapy in 2004 and have enjoyed being a massage therapist ever since. I have worked in spa and clinical settings as well as independently doing in-home massage. I am certified in over 16 modalities and love learning more every chance I get. Some of these modalities include: Cranial Sacral, Deep Tissue, Infant, Injury, Prenatal, Reflexology, Sports, Structural, Swedish, Thai (floor), Trigger Point, Hard Rock, and Neuro-Muscular. Additional modalities I am looking forward to learning this next year are RAPID Neuro-Muscular release, Lomi Lomi, along with a more in-depth understanding of Cranial Sacral and Thai. My favorite part about being a therapist is helping people feel better physically and mentally, along with seeing them become healthier because of the benefits of massage tailored to the needs of each individual person. I feel blessed to have the knowledge of massage in my life, for my family as well as those I am fortunate enough to meet. A few of the individuals I have worked on have started calling me “magic hands“and “miracle man“. Of course this is their opinion and I would like to know what you think!
