My wellness path began when I started competing in gymnastics at the age of 3. Gymnastics allowed me to build strength and stamina in order to combat a growth disorder I had been battling as an infant and toddler. Now, after a successful 20-year career as a gymnast and years developing a background in kinesiology, my core values surround Health and Wellness. It took time and dedication to develop my own wellness routine, and I continue to grow and adapt that portion of my life regularly. Through this
process of growth and adaptation, I have discovered the positive impact exercise, diet, and massage therapy can have on an individual’s health goals, life routine, stress levels, and overall feeling.
Although I am proficient in all modalities, I tend to enjoy therapeutic techniques designed to relieve specific problem areas. I find more fulfillment in providing long-term alleviation for clients that have some of the most difficult problem areas through our sessions along with providing knowledge that can help my client reach their personal wellness goals. My philosophy, along with many other LMT’s philosophies, is that truly embracing massage therapy goes beyond providing an hour treatment. Massage Therapy requires an understanding of the human body, interpretation of relations between separate muscles and muscle groups, and knowing when muscular issues stem from work, stress and/or diet. Everyone who walks into a spa values self-care and has a goal in mind. This goal can be emotional, or physical. Regardless,
whatever your needs are, I hope I can use my capabilities to take you one step closer to where you want to be.
