About Me: My role at the spa is People Director. I am new to this Ohana but not new to Hawaiian culture or experience.
I have held numerous managerial roles as well as honorable military service during The Persian Gulf and Desert Storm Wars. I have over 25 years experience in the Health & Wellness field where I worked from the nursing floors to leading pharmacy teams in a retail environment. As a Director, I have served both in private and public service.
Whether serving in the military or in the civilian sector, one thing has always stood paramount, people matter and everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, be heard and receive feedback. It is imperative to show respect and a caring attitude to your team, leadership and clientele. This is also known as the “ Aloha” spirit.
On the personal side, I lived on Oahu for 20 years where I met and married my wife. We have two daughters together and a son and daughter from a first marriage. We also have 2 fur babies, Sugar and Baby who we inherited from our youngest daughter. My big time loves are eating Hawaiian food (poki, bbq chicken, musibi’s, rice etc.), riding my Harley, watching movies, celebrating life with good friends and fishing or hunting. If I’m not doing one of these, I can be found shopping with my wife and looking for a good boba tea.
What I Like About My Job: Teaching and training and the overall mentoring of Ohana in their pursuit to provide the very best in customer service. Planting seeds of good fruit into others and observing the growth and replication process.
