Spa Closure Update

UPDATE APRIL 30TH:The Governor of Arizona yesterday mandated that the “Stay At Home Order” remain in place until May 15, 2020. As a result we are forced to stay closed. Assuming this order is not extended again, the spa will reopen for appointments on May 20, 2020 so you can book appointments starting that date.

We strongly believe the spa should be allowed to open now. Many of our services including all types of massage therapy, infrared saunas and more actually enhance the immune system and help keep healthy people healthy. Our spas are small and meticulously clean and we believe they are safe to visit. We also believe that each of us should be able to choose whether we want to visit a spa now for our health, or stay home. This extended Government mandate, however, is forcing us to stay closed and not giving you the option to make your own decisions. Rest assured that as soon as we are told we can open we will begin the process to do so. Thank you for your support of the spa. We will stay in touch through email, Facebook and our website.

Aloha: We hope this email finds everyone healthy and in good spirits. While this unprecedented crisis has taken a toll on all of us, we must stay optimistic about the future. Humanity is resilient and life will return to normal in the coming months.
As you probably know, the spas have been ordered closed, along with many other businesses, until April 30th. We are planning on bringing all of our ‘ohana back to work on May 1st and 2nd and to open for business again on May 4th or 5th. We will stay in touch during that time through email, Facebook and our website to keep you updated on our progress. We are working during this shutdown to improve our systems and services so that we reopen stronger than ever.
While this crisis is an enormous strain on all small businesses, including us, we wanted to let you know that our spa is financially stable with adequate cash reserves and access to credit lines if necessary. There is NO chance we will not fully reopen once it is safe, and legal, to do so. Any services in your account, previously purchased gift cards, etc. are still secure. Any gift cards or other services that expired during March or April will be extended to August 31st to give you time to use them.
During this shutdown we will be revamping our pricing model with lower prices and a simpler system to make it easier for each of you to come back in and get the services you enjoy and need to stay healthy. As we have said many times during this crisis, we strongly believe our services enhance immunity and are an important part of staying healthy.
As we make changes, our website may be down or incomplete from time to time. Once we have it updated, we will email again to provide information on the changes. Please also check the spa’s Facebook pages for updates on our progress.
In the meantime, if you are financially able, it is very helpful if you keep your membership active during April. The service you accumulate will be there for you when we reopen. If you need to pause your membership, we of course understand and will be happy to suspend it for one or two months. Simply, email us at the address below and us know if you want to suspend for one or two months and we will assist you. By suspending your plan, rather than cancelling, you are helping our employees and the community. It also preserves any prepaid services in your account and allows you to start the plan back up again without paying the enrollment fee and losing your seniority status.
We want to say mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) for your support of the spas. If you need to get in touch with us during this time please email us at owners@HawaiianExperienceSpa.com. We will be back in touch in a week or two.
Mahalo,
Mike, Steve and Cathy Ibach
