I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable New Year’s celebration. Mahalo nui loa to everyone who purchased gifts over the holiday season, and that participated in our holiday specials. 2018 was a great year for the spa, but we are eager to move into the new year and have a lot of exciting plans. During the last few months of each year, we develop our budget and plan for the follow year. Our planning process has been to refocus on what the Hawaiian Experience is to us, based on our original vision and what we have learned since then. Unfortunately, as we expanded we had to make certain compromises and we have moved away from our original vision. This year we will be refocusing on the Hawaiian Experience at all three spas. While much of this simply involves bringing a more literal feeling of being in Hawaii and a more sophisticated atmosphere, there are also other aspects of the experience that we will also be focusing on. We stand apart from the chain massage clinics; it is time to make that more apparent and to move forward with the expansion of our spa. We will be working on a new spa before the end of the year.

On Friday of last week, we finally reached an agreement to keep our Scottsdale spa in its current location. We have been working on this since March and the uncertainty has prevented us from making any modifications. Now that this is finally over, we can move forward with remodeling the spa. There will be upgrades and updates to the lighting, lockers, lounge, lobby, bathrooms, etc. Because the spa is still in operation, we will not be able to redesign everything but it will look great nonetheless. We expect to remain open during the remodel with only a minimal effect to appointments.
