Pau Hana: Pronounced “pow hana” this Hawaiian phrase means end of the work week or day. It is a time for relaxation or socializing. Some restaurants offer pau hana specials which are equivalent to happy hour specials. At least one Hawaii made beer is called Pau Hana and a Hawaii surf supply company is named Pau Hana. Other businesses focused on relaxation also incorporate the phrase into their names. In a sentence one might say, “Its pua hana time, let’s schedule a massage!”
