With the current COVID-19 pandemic, the spa continues to focus on the health and well-being of its ohana and its guests. Naturally, we are complying with the mandated wearing of masks and we appreciate your understanding and compliance with this during your treatments. While we continue to feel that the spa is a low risk environment, we have still been looking into ways to improve the safety of the spa in a meaningful way.
To help prevent the spread of airborne illnesses inside of the spa as well as to improve the air quality for asthma and allergies suffers, we are permanently replacing all of the fans in the treatment rooms with high quality HEPA air purifiers. This is the case in our Goodyear Day Spa, Chandler Day Spa and Scottsdale Day Spa. The air purifiers have been sized appropriately to the rooms to ensure there are a minimum of six air exchanges per hour (this is the generally accepted standard for air purification) and they remove 99.97% of pollutants down to 0.1 microns in size (which is actually a higher level of particle filtration than the HEPA standard). You find HEPA air filtration in select areas of hospitals and healthcare facilities such as operating rooms, compounding pharmacies, infectious disease areas and isolation rooms, etc. This is beyond the standard level of filtration that you find in hospital inpatient environments, however, the spa is focused on your safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
