In addition the above massage training Steve has studied kinesiology at Arizona State University and has studied fitness and personal training. He writes for several massage publications including Examiner.com and The Massage Advancer.
In a medical or advanced therapeutic massage session, Steve will incorporate all of his training and experience into a customized session focused on treating the client’s specific needs. This will often include recommendations for home care including exercises, stretches, use of heat and ice, and much more.
When not working Steve enjoys hiking and outdoor activities. He has hiked extensively through out Arizona and other states and writes a column on Arizona Hiking.
Steve owns Hawaiian Experience Spa along with his wife Cathy and son Mike (more about the owners). Regardless of which therapist you see at the spa Steve is always working behind the scenes to ensure your visit exceeds all of your expectations.

Steve Ibach is a licensed massage therapist (LMT) in the state of Arizona and is nationally certified in therapeutic massage (NCTM). He specializes in medical massage therapy and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage. Steve has advanced training in a variety of massage modalities including neuromuscular massage therapy, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, sports massage, pregnancy massage, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage (which he studied on Maui), among others. Steve has taught massage at a Scottsdale massage school and has trained many massage therapists in the art of Lomi Lomi massage and other advanced techniques.
